In 2007, residents were gripped by panic as police worked to capture an armed, dangerous and unpredictable 22-year-old fugitive on a killing spree.
He had already murdered student Carlos Rivera as well as elderly couple Bill and Helene Regier. It was a race against time to stop him before he hurt anyone else.
