Canadian True Crime independently researches and selects cases for coverage, but we welcome case suggestions as part of our editorial planning.
A few things to know before submitting a case:
What we cover: Canadian True Crime’s approach is analytical rather than investigative, so we generally focus on cases that have been through the court system, and have sufficient reliable source material available for a deep dive. We’re unlikely to cover unsolved crimes or missing persons cases.
How we select cases: We consider a range of factors including type of crime, geographic area, time period, availability of information, themes and editorial priorities.
What to expect: Because Canadian True Crime episodes tend to be deeply-researched and detailed, we can only cover a limited number of cases each year. While we do appreciate every case suggestion, we’re unable to respond or provide updates about cases we’re considering.
