In the interests of your time, there’s a few things you should know:
Our approach to true crime: Canadian True Crime specializes in deeply researched, analytical storytelling, exploring how crimes were investigated, prosecuted and handled by the justice system, as well as their broader impact. Our work relies heavily on court records, news archives and other reliable sources,
We can’t help with unsolved crimes or missing persons cases: For all of the above reasons — and because we’re not private investigators or investigative journalists — Canadian True Crime is unlikely to cover cases that have not proceeded through the court system. If you have information that may assist an active investigation, please contact the appropriate authorities.
How cases are chosen for Canadian True Crime: We make editorial decisions based on a number of factors including how each case fits into our overall coverage. As a small independent production, we can only produce a certain number of episodes each year, and while we appreciate hearing from those directly affected by a crime, we unfortunately can't promise coverage.
What to expect: We read every message but unfortunately don't have the capacity to respond to everyone or provide updates about potential coverage. Thanks for understanding and we appreciate you taking the time to reach out.
